Stone Lion Farms in nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains of Western Washington. This location provides not only spectacular views but, plenty of natural excercise for the hill ponies that we raise. We feel that it helps promote and ensure the soundness and correctness of movement in our ponies as they are doing what nature intended. We have strived to produce old-fashion or traditional Welsh Mountain Ponies, all with Type, Movement, Conformation and of course that reknown temperment. In striving for this goal our breeding program lists most of the great welsh prefixs in Mountain Pony history. Our stallions and mares combine the best of Coed Coch, Revel, Clan, Breirwood, Bengad, Ceulan and Lieseter lines available not only on a national level but, internationally as well.
Our philosophy shaped from that of a devoted mentor and judge is that "We as breeders are not reinventing the wheel, we are guarding the past and preserving the future of this remarkable breed."
